A little more about me...

Photography isn’t my primary profession—it’s my passion. By day, I’ve spent over 20 years working at a large energy company, working on spreadsheets, budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans. It may not sound glamorous, but it’s work I genuinely enjoy and it keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Photography, on the other hand, is my creative outlet. It’s how I recharge, manage stress, and connect with my community in a meaningful way.

My love for photography started early. I still remember using a Kodak Fisher-Price 110 camera as a kid, then moving on to my parents’ Canon rangefinder, and eventually getting my first 35mm SLR in high school. Like many photographers of that era, I learned the craft in the darkroom—spending hours developing film and making prints long before digital photography existed.

In college, I briefly considered pursuing photography as a career. Life, however, had other plans. After meeting my future wife (we’ve now been married for over 20 years), starting a family, and building a career, photography naturally took a backseat for quite some time. It wasn’t until 2019 that I picked up a camera again—and instantly remembered how much I loved it.

Whether it’s Friday night lights, a packed gym, a cold hockey rink, or a senior portrait session around town, my goal is always the same: capture moments that matter—images athletes and families will look back on for years.

If you use my photos, I just ask that you give me credit on social media. And if you want to support what I do, you can grab digital downloads or prints through MaxPreps or directly from my site.

If you’re interested in coverage for your athlete, team, or event, feel free to reach out (just a heads up—no weddings).
